About:China Tourist Visa

Do I need full residency before I can apply for a visa when flying from Qatar to Beijing?

I am currently working in Qatar and my residency application is being processed. I am originally from Ireland. I am living in Qatar under a holiday entry permit. I want to go to China but my residency might not be complete in time.

Tom, based on my experience, you don't need to provide full residency. Your holiday work entry permit can be used to show that you are staying in Qatar legally.

Thank you for your response. Have you previous experience travelling from China to Qatar? Does the application process take long? I will only have a time frame of 3 days to get it sorted so I am hesitant to book flights before I can be confident that I will get one processed in time.
