About:Simatai Great Wall

Does this mean that if we go to both Simati and the Water Town that we do not need a reservation?

"If one intends to climb the Great Wall only, reservation should be made at least one day in advance by using the visitors’ real names online."

If the above is true, can we buy tickets on site, or do we still need to pre-purchase? If you need to pre-purchase, how does one do it?

Patrick, you are right. If you want to buy the combo ticket, you can buy on site. You don't need to pre-purchase it.

Linda: Thank's for the response. Do you happen to know how much a combo ticket is?

Patrick, the combo ticket has been cancelled. You need to buy the tickets for the wall (CNY 45) and water town (CNY 150) separately.

Hey Linda - If the combination ticket is cancelled, does this mean we now need to make a reservation for the Wall???

According to what I know, the scenic area limits the number of tourists who climb the wall eveyday. Even you buy the entrance ticket to the water town, you still need to wait and queue up for climbing. So please make a reservation in advance. To make a reservation, a phone number is required to receive the verification code. I am not sure if foreign cell phone numbers work. Please call 86-010-81009999 to confirm this.
