About:China Private Visit Visa

Inqury

I hold Z visa "working permit", my brother is studying in China, I want him to stay with me after his study is finished. can he renew his X type in China, or he must back home and get invitation letter? also, can he get S1?

Alicia, before his residence permit expires, he should go to the local exit and entry administration to change his X type into the S1 type and then renew the residence permit. It's possible to do so. However, if his application for the conversion is turned down, he has to go back home to apply for the S1.
