About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

can i still apply for residence permit after 10days of arrival with x-visa?

i am arriving during the holiday period will it be risky for my residence permit processing or not?

So you have X1 type, right? Please visit local entry and exit management bureau during their working days as soon as you can. The X1 is valid for 30 days only. And your application for a resident permit for studying needs around 15 working days.

where is the local entry and exit management bureau located?because my school agent told me no need for it because the school will help with everything although i report in school after 10days of arrival.

Every city has its own entry and exit management bureau. It's an organization that deals with entry permits and Chinese passport matters. If your school takes care of everything, then you needn't worry about it.
