About:Shantou Transportation

the best transportation services from Jie Yang International Airport to Sheraton Shantou Hotel.

I never been to the city, but my ancestor originally from ST. actually I would like to visit to find my relatives. Is there any place where I can refer to my ancestor name?

I recommend you take ST East Shuttle Bus to Jinhaiwan Golden Gulf Hotel (CNY20, 70 mins). Then take a taxi to the hotel, at a cost of CNY10.

Generally, the ancestor names can be checked at local archives bureau, which usually does not allow people to look up. Then I have a suggestion for you. Get the surname or full names and other info of your ancestor. Sometimes, you can find their materials in the memorial halls.

Oh, to be honest, it's not necessary for you to hire a personal tour guide. This city is not so big. So I believe that you can tour around by yourself very well. But you'd better prepare the Chinese charaters of your destinations (hotel or attractions) in case you have to ask locals about the directions.
