About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

do I need to apply for a multiple entry Chinese visa?

I'm an Australian passport holder stopping over in Guangzhou for 3 nights en route to London (SYD-CAN-LHR). Can I use the 72 hour free transit to visit Hong Kong and Macau, then back to Guangzhou before departing for London? Many thanks,
Elliott

Hey, Elliott, you can use this policy to visit Hong Kong and Macau, but you may need to apply for the 72h free transit policy twice, that is, you should apply for it each time you enter.

If you wanna go to Hong Kong by train or bus, it doesn´t work when you use the 72h TWOV.

You have to take a flight to Hong Kong from Guangzhou or any other airport within Guangdong.
