About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

does 72 hour free visa count from the plane landing and plane take off for the onward to Bangkok?

Or from when going through Passport Control? Because if it is from the actual Plane landing/take off, I would be overstaying 2 hours, but this time would be nullified if counting from passport checks.

I am travelling from London to Bangkok with a 3 night stop in Bejing. Tony, London

Tony, according to what I heard, 72 hours is counted from the moment that you have finished the procedure for 72 hours after you arrive at the airport. However, there are still some people who claim tat it is counted from the scheduled arrival and departure time. Please confirm this with the Beijing Airport mmigration Inspection at 0086-10-56095400.
