Traveling from Bangkok to Beijing then out to Hong kong, would this trip be possible?

Hi my name is Nick Rondel,2 friends and myself would like to travel from Bangkok to Hong Kong via Beijing in September,we would be staying in Beijing for 2 and a half days and would be staying in a Beijing airport hotel and staying in the city. We are all British passport holders.

Yes, this trip is posible. The transit visa is not necessary.
