About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hello, I have two questions.

1 option: Does this option qualify for a 72 hour visa? Can I fly into Hong kong, travel to Guanzhou province and fly to America within 72 hours? As long as I have all tickets bought.

2 Option: Can I fly from Hong Kong to Guanzhou and leave the airport for a few hours and then fly out of Guanzhou to america without a visa?

Thank you!

Hey, Joanna, you qualify for the 72-hour free transit policy. During the layover period, you can leave the airport.

So I just need to make sure I land in Hong Kong within 72 hours of leaving Guanzhuo? OR did I need to do the second option.

I need to fly to Guanzhuo, leave the airport, then fly out of the Guanzhuo airport within 72 hours?

Joanna, you can choose the first option. Land in Hong Kong first, then fly to Guangzhou, then leave Guangzhou for the US within 72 hours.

Yes, if it stops in Beijing, you cannot enjoy the 72h free trasit, only the 24h free transit is available.
