Visa to China in Thailand

Hello,
we are in PRC now, and planning to go to Thailand next week. After the visit in Thailand, we have to go back since our flight back home is from Beijing. Is there an extra fast way of doing new Chinese entry permit in Thailand? How does it work?
Is it possible to leave the passport at the Chinese embassy while traveling to the Kho Samui etc?
Thank you!

Polly, Chinese embassy in Thailand provide rush service. If you are granted to use rush service, you will get your entry permit in 2 or 3 working days. However, you need to pay extra THB 800 for the service.

And I do not suggest you travel without your passport in an unfamiliar country. To play it safe, you can travel after you get back your passport.
