About:Chinese Consulates in Japan

Can we go to local Chinese consulate directly for Visa application or do we need to use an agent?

Hi, we are a Finnish and British tourist that would like to go to China after our visit to Japan. We are now in Fukuoka, Japan.
Many thanks, xie xie!

Hi there! According to the website of the embassy, foreigners from a third country must apply in person at the consulate or embassy. However, I noticed a post saying that someone was told to use an agency to apply for the tourist type because he is not Japanese citizens. So I think you need to confirm this with the consulate first and then make the decision. If you get any answer, please share with me, thank you!
