travelling to tibet alone, can i apply for tibet travel permit? what are the rules?

I am a solo traveler. I am having Indian passport. I want to transit Tibet from Khathmandu and go over to mainland china for 2 weeks and come back same route.

David, I am afraid that you can't make this trip work. Individual foreigners can not go to Tibet alone. They should join group tours arranged by the qualified travel agencies.  And the agencies arrange the travel permits for the foreign visitors.
