About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Flying Bishkek-Urumqi-Guangzhou-Manila, free transit?

It's with China Southern all on one ticket. Presumably I'm eligible for the 72 hour stopover in Guangzhou despite already transiting at Urumqi (4 hour stopover). However, we won't have Chinese visas. is the first stopover in Urumqi problematic due to us having to go from to domestic departures for the Urumqi-Guangzhou flight? Thank you.

JC, you are not qualified for 72 hours free transit in Guangzhou because you stop by Urumqi. In your situation, you need to apply for a L type in advance.
