About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Confirmation

I want fly to china from Thailand (i have a US passport) and stay two days, Long enough to visit the great wall and the summer palace. Do I fit the requirements for a 72hour visa?

Laura, after visiting Beijing, which country will you go? If it's a third country, then you fulfill the requirements for 72-hour free transit.

No, Thailand is your departure country. The destination country cannot be the same as the departure country. You can choose to fly to Thailand via another country or Hong Kong.

Macau also counts as a third region. You can fly via there.
