About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Can I apply for a Chinese Z-Visa as a EU citizen visiting Tokyo?

Dear all,

I need to apply for a Z type soon and plan on going to Tokyo for a weekend trip. I am wondering if it is possible to apply for this kind in Tokyo, even though I am a tourist in Japan and only staying for a weekend?

Does anyone have experience with this and could help?

(all required documents are at hand)

Thank you!
Regards, Flo

FLo, even though I think you can apply for the Z type from Tokyo, I don't suggest you take the risk to do so. You know, if you only spend a weekend there, the time is not enough for the application and you have to use the express service. However, whether the consular officer will allow you to use the expree service remains unknown.
