About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying from Tokyo to Beijing and want to see Great Wall. Can we do it?

We are from US and want to fly from Tokyo to Beijing. We will spend one day in Beijing and stop by one day to see the Great Wall, then fly to Hanoi the next day. Are you allowed to leave the city of Beijing on the 72 hour period? Must we stay in Beijing?

Laurie, during the 72-hour period, you can only stay in the administrative region of Beijing. There is a long segment of the Great Wall in Beijing I think, so you can still visit the Great Wall.
