What type of Visa for family traveling with me on work?

I am traveling for work to Shanghai on a M type. I will be there for 2 months. My work has agreed that I take my children with me and they will be attending camps/babysitter during the day. They are 13 and 14 years old. What type do they require? Can this be done?

Cari, I think you should apply for an ordinary L type for your children. This is feasible. Just go to the consular office which has jurisdiction over your residence area and submit all required documents. To apply for the L type for your children, you should prepare an invitation letter from mainland China apart from their passport, application forms and recent photos.
