About:China Business Visa

volunteer work, but do not know which type is suitable

I've been invited by a rural local hospital in China to do volunteer work(without pay). I can commit for about 5 months a year to do so. What type of visa would be best for this type of work where I'm not being paid. As I have three young kids, the whole family will be coming with me. What type should be applied?

Personally speaking, you still need a Work Z to work in China. You are suggested to ask the hospital to issue you an invitation letter first. Then you are suggested to contact the embassy/consulate for confirming this.

For your family members, they can consider to apply for a S1/S2 to stay with you.
