About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Traveling to Beijing, will I have to apply for a Visa?

I am a Canadian student attending a university in Taiwan. Will I be able to travel to Beijing for a two day tour to Beijing under the 72-hour free transit?

Rob, after your visit in Beijing, will you go back directly to Taiwan? If so, the L type entry permit is needed. If you fly to a third country or region (Macau or Hong Kong), then you may qualify for the 72-hour free transit policy. In this case, the mainland entry permit is not required.
