About:China Transit Visa

Layover in Beijing, I am an Indian citizen working in USA.

Hi, I will be traveling from USA to India via Beijing and I have about 15 hours of layover time to myself. would I need to apply for a tourist/transit visa at the Chinese embassy in USA or can I apply for a temporary permit at the Beijing airport for sightseeing? Also, do the immigration officers speak good English? Thank You.

Sri, you don't need to apply for the tourist type or transit type from the embassy. You can just apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport for sightseeing. The officers speak English weel. No need to worry.
