About:China Transit Visa

Hi I am an Indian passport holder with Japanese visa

Traveling to India via China. I have 22 hours layover in Beijing. Do I need to apply for a transit G type if I want to get out of the airport.

Ema, you don’t need to apply for a transit G type because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing. You just need to apply for a temporary stay permit which is free of charge at Beijing airport and then you can leave the airport.
