About:Huangshan Mountain

Can you hike up the yellow mountain over night?

I see there is a entry fee and open hours for the mountain but we are hoping to arrive around 1am and hike up the mountain in the dark to arrive at the peak for sunrise. Is this possible? Or will ww be stuck at the bottom waiting for gates to open?

No, you cannot hike up the mountain at that time. The opening hours of the mountain are 06:30 – 16:00 in weekdays and Sunday, 06:00 – 16:00 in Saturday. Also there is no light on paths.

If you want to see the sunrise, you can go there in the last afternoon, and spend one night in the mountain. There are hotels available. In the morning, you can see the sunrise.
