About:Best Time to Visit China

I am planning to travel north to south, 3 weeks.

Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai, Xiamen, Shenzen, Hong-Kong (more or less).

Would mid of september be a good date?
I know the south is pretty hot, I'll be around there end of september/beginning October.

And I was wondering if I'd be out of the rainy season?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Greb, it's good to visit Beijing and Xian in September. However, you might encounter typhoons in southern China in early September. So you may postpone your visit to these places until mid October or early November. By the way, the rainy season in the south usually lasts from May to July.
