About:China Private Visit Visa

How long should my resident permit be valid before I can invite my wife?

It expires in June 17. I base in Shanghai.

Hi Christian, there is no explicit requirement for the remaining validity of temporary residence card to be used for S type entry permit applications. However, if it is going to expire in a short time, your wife won’t be granted with a long stay duration, perhaps one month at most. You can check this point with the consular officer.
