Also, I am travelling to Beijing by Korean Airlines and from Beijing to Hong Kong, by Air China.
The returning flight back to Seoul from Hong Kong is Korean Airlines.

Basically:

Seoul(Korean Air) > Beijing
Beijing(Air China) > Hong Kong
Hong Kong(Korea Air) > Seoul

Am I still eligible for the 72 hour free transit?

Hi Victoria,

Thank you for your response.

Does it matter on the amount of days I will be staying in Hong Kong?

I will be in Beijing for about 36 hours but will be in Hong Kong for about 4 days before heading back to Seoul
