About:Chinese Etiquette

My 6 year old has made a Chinese playmate who comes over daily with his non English speaking grandma

These new friends are very nice and friendly, but they stay and stay and stay, and bring gifts mostly of food almost daily. I feel obligated to return the gesture, but I do not know where to start, and I do not know how to politely tell them to go home! They will come in the morning and stay until dark. The boy speaks very little English, but MUCH better than grandma.

Michelle, it's ok for you to prepare or buy some snacks, such as cookie and bread. When they leave, you can send them to your son's playmate.

There are many excuses. Before lunch, you can tell them that you need to go to the supermarket to buy vegetables. Or you can tell them that you have enrolled your son to a piano, painting or whatever class. However, the premise is that your son is willing to cooperate with you. By the way, why not ask them if your son can go to their home to play together?
