Using 72 hours visa with HK and Macau as third country

Dear Ms. Mr.

Am I eligible for the 72 hours free transit if I do:
Hong Kong to Shanghai D1
D3 Shanghai to Macau?

Will it be counted as transit?

Thank you

Best regards

Pierre, your flight route does qualify for the 72 hour free transit policy. However, I can't guarantee that you will certainly enjoy the policy. Sometimes if you transit in Macau or Hong Kong, the immigration officer will think that you just want to avoid applying for the mainland entry permit. So you are suggested to confirm this with your airline or the immigration authorities.
