Can I travel to China with 2 valid passports?

Hi,
My issue is that I have given my UK passport to get my visa done and forgot to get a copy of my passport details to book my flight ticket with. Can I use my other valid passport to book tickets with and present both passports at guangzhou airport, one with the visa and the other one which I would book the flight with?
Is that allowed?
Thanks
Thalia

Yes, it is doable. Don't worry! I was in the same situation before.
