About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visit Shanghai for less than 72 hours. Do i need to go to the police office?

Hello, I'm going to New-Zealand.
And i arrive at Shanghai airport at 10:00 but my next flight is departing at 22:10.
I like to see Shanghai, so is it still necessary to go to a police station for only a few hours?
Or do i need a other transit/visum?

(I'm a citizen of the Netherlands, and also travel from the Netherlands.)

I hope you can help me.

Hi Vincent, as you are eligible for the 72 hrs transit entry permit waiver policy, you don't need an entry permit for travelling in Shanghai. Also, as you only stay a few hours and do not stay overnight, it's not necessary to go to the police station for registration.
