About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I want to fly from Hanoi to Guangzhou, visit an old friend, and fly back to Hanoi.

Am I eligible for the 72 hour visa in this scenario. I have a U.S. passport.

Hello Ken, your itinerary is not considered as a valid transit in regards to the 72 hour free transit so you are not eligible for it.
