can temporary resident permit be renewed at any psb?

Question

I'm currently studying in China and the X type that I have is processed through the school..The question is:Can I go to another Province and get my study permit ? I'm asking this because the length of time(6mths) is very short for me to be renewing it and I heard that a longer time is given if I renew it in say,Shanghai for example .P.S it is an X1 type.

Ace, I am afraid that you may not renew your resident permit in another place unless you change your school in that place. You have to provide related documents that you need to stay longer. In this way, you may get longer period of stay.
