About:Embassy of Ghana in China

I wanna know if you overstay in china for 2 or three years, is there any way you can get exit home?

Secondly I wanna know the process you have to go through before you can get back home? Thank you.

You should first go to the local public police station and pay the fine incurred by the overstaying, which is about RMB 10000. Then the police will send you back.

After paying for the fine of 10000 yuan, you will still be arrested and that is the laws of overstaying.

Two or three years overystaying is too long. According to related law, you will be deported and won't be allowed to enter in 5 to 10 years.

After the new entry and exit managenment law was implemented in 2013, China has strengthened to cope with illegal working, overstaying and other things. I think that's why some foreigners are punished so heavily. If they don't want to put themselves in big troubles, they shouldn't do anything illegal, including overystaying.
