Applying for a Chinese Z visa in Bangkok

Hi there,

I'm planning on applying for a Z type (work permit) in Bangkok. I have the invitation letter from the Chinese company, however I will be in Bangkok without an entry permit, since I don't need to apply for a tourist entry permit with my Swiss passport. Do I require a proper Thai entry permit to apply for it, or the single immigration stamp works too?

I think the Immigration stamp will work. If the officer says it's useless, you can ask the Thai Immigration Department to issue you a certificate for your legal stay.
