Dose Hongkong is a third region to travel with a confirmed seat onward ticket to allowed to stay 72h before in Shanghai?

Hi Frank, I am not very clear about what you are saying. Do you mean you are travelling to Shanghai via Hong Kong? And you will stay in Hong Kong for 72 hours? In fact, you do not need one for Hong Kong entry with a stay less than 90 days.

Hello Kellon,
I would like to stay 72h in Shanghai. My flights are from Hamburg Helsigki Shanghai HK Helsingki Hamburg.Do I get any problems with Hongkong as a third country if I have only 3h on HK airport?

Frank, when it comes to the transit issues, Hong Kong is regarded as a third region, so you are eligible for the 72 hour free transit. Do not worry about it.
