About:Chinese Consulates in Italy

I'm a hungarian volunteer in Sicily who would like to visit her boyfriend in Beijing

Hi!
He's studying over there with a X1 type of visa. Can I obtain one to PRC in Italy? If it's possible where is the nearest place to get it? Which type should I choose? Do I need to ask an invitation letter from him?

Barbara, you can apply for a L type from the consular office of Chinese embassy in Italy. It is located at VIA BRUXELLES, 56 00198, Roma. Yes, you just ask your bf to send you an invitation letter together with copies of his passport and visa page. When you submit your application, please don't forget to present your legal status proof in Italy.
