We intend to do some activities.  Being first time visitors, what would you suggest we do?Would hiring a van with driver a good idea? Simon.

You can visit the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Then you can go to the silk street for a simple shopping. Actually, hiring a driver will be a good idea, but not very necessary. You can take taxi or use the subway to reach these destinations.
