i am planning for travel in march to visit relatives in shantou.

Question

I would like to know the weather in Mar and the type of clothes to bring for the trip.I am also planning to fly out from Guangzhou instead of ST, what is the best way to travel to Guangzhou? By bus, car or train? By bus will takes abt 5-6hrs, how about train, will it take a lesser travelling time?I have narrowed down to few hotels which are Meritus, Sheraton and Golden Gulf, feel free to recommend.

According to the weather records, it is quite cool and windy at that time, and the average temp is about 64F. You can wear long-sleeved shirts and pants.I suggest you take a bus from ST to Guangzhou, for there are a few trains in operation, and the travel time is about 7.5 hours. There is no other better method. As I known, in ST Central Coach Station, there are many buses running to Guangzhou, you can easily take one. And the bus fare is CNY130, the travel time is about 5 hours.The hotels you mention are actually really good choices, just pick one that you favor most.
