About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Hong Kong for a few days then mainland China: onward travel proof?

Hello,

I har a Swiss passport and a visa for china. I am planning to land in Hong Kong and visit the city for a few days and then take probably a train to go to mainland china. To get to entry permit to HK we need to prove that we have an onward travel arrangements. What should I show?

Personally speaking, the onward travel arrangement is not necessary. You can only use your valid passport to enter HK for staying less than 90 days. The rules do not mention the onward travel arrangements are needed for passing the immigration.
