About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

On holiday in Canada, how can I apply for visa to travel onto China

I will be on holiday in Canada from 20/12/14 until 10/4/15 and was planning to travel onto a tour in China, can you advise how best to obtain my permit to enter China?

It may be hard to get a Tourist L in Canada since you are an Australian. You can try to apply it through a HK tour agency. You can look for a tour agecy online first and consult with them. I saw many people got a single entry Tourist L in HK. So good luck with you ~

Thank you for your response Hale, I have now been advised by the China consulate in Vancouver, that I must apply through them, I will do this once I am in Canada and it is within the required 3 month period. :-)
