About:China Transit Visa

Hanoi- Beijing- London

Hi, I will be traveling from Hanoi to beijing on the 21st of November. I will stay in Beijing for 48 hours and hen fly to london (same airport:PEK, flights and hotel booked). I assume i am eligible for the 72 hours free transfer (passport: Netherlands), but will Vietnam airlines cause problems on check in at Hanoi (as some airlines are not aware at all). What is the best way to handle this?

You are available to enjoy the 72-hour free transit. It is unclear that your airline knows that or not. You are prepare some official documents to show the 72-hour free transit is eligible in the Beijing airport as a proof. Then the problem may not exist.

Yes, the related information can be found on the official website of Chinese embassy in Vietnam. However, it's written in Chinese.
