About:China Private Visit Visa

Visa for Newlyweds

Hello,
My fiance and I are currently living and working in China, where we met 2 years ago. She is from Philippines and I'm from the U.S.A. We will go to her country to marry, but since we won't start the paperwork to start processing to change her passport to USA, can she use her passport, which will have her new married name (my last name) to enter on a s1 type? Or is it wise to apply for tourist L in this case? I'm aware of the other documents needed, birth certificate, Letter of Invite, Marriage Certificate, etc.

Thanks,
Aaron

What type does she have now?
In general, after you get married, she needs to use her original passport with your name to apply a new S1 to staying for a long time. It should be reminded that she cannot use the S1 to work in China.

L is not suggested, since it only has a short duration of stay.
