About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does the Visa free policy apply to us?

We will be travelling by cruise ship and taking a shore excursion in Shanghai. Everything I can find about it only refers to air travel

The 72-hour free transit policy is only available for air travel passengers.

May I know wow long will stay in China? If the traveling time is less than 24 hours, you are able to enjoy the 24 hours free transit free to visit Shanghai for less than 24 hours.
