About:China Business Visa

I'm 66, so China won't give me a Z visa and work permit any more, but I would still like to live

I have a Master Degree in Chinese Language & Civilization, and have written and published more than a dozen books about Chinese culture and travel. Is there any way to get a permit to live and work there, for example research and write a few more books? Teach? Thanks for any ideas on this.

If you want to live in China, you may have a Q1 or S1 type besides Z type and then change them into resident permit to live in China.

Q1 is for those who want to join their Chinese family members and the S1 is for those who want to join foreigners working or studying in China. You can check whether you can meet this requirement.

If you are not fit to either of them, you may not live in China legally and there is no better method. Or I heard foreigners can get a stay permit if they have a house/apartment in China. You can try to find some agencies for consulting this issue.
