Visa Application Process for South African people

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a South African citizen and wish to travel as a tourist to China in the first week of November 2014.
I have downloaded the L type application and am in the process of confirming my air tickets and hotel reservation.

Can you please let me know if I need to make an appointment to hand in my application, or can I just arrive at the Consulate General in Cape Town during the official opening hours of 08:00 to 12:00?

Regards,

Steve Caldwell

Based on the information I got, it is no need to make an appointment in advance and you just need to go to the embassy for applying during their work time.
