We would like to apply for a 90 day tourist L to china from Bangkok, and we would like to enter the country on land. I have heard that it is very difficult at the moment, and they usually only give you a 30 day one. Do we have any chance to get a 3 months one, and if yes, what documents are needed?

Emese, you'd better apply for a 90 days one from Chinese embassy in your own country. It's a safer way. Honestly, the consular officers have the final say on how long duration you will be granted wth. Sometimes, you can't get what you are expect even though you provide all the required documents.
