About:China Embassy in Thailand

Can Australian arrive Bangkok 15 October at 2 pm and leave with tourism visa to Shanghai on 18 Oct

Paul, do you mean you have Chinese visa? If so, you can enter China from Thailand without a problem. You needn't worry about your stay in Thailand. According to what I know, Australians enjoy 30 days free stay in Thailand without applying in advance.

Thank You. I do not yet have a Chinese one. Can I get one from Chinese Consulate in Bangkok?

You can try to apply one, but it is not assured that you can get it in the end. Personally speaking, the time is still enough for you to apply a tourist L in your own country, so you are suggested to apply one in your own country.

If you arrive at the consulate 9am the 16th you can get your Tourist L the same day. Yoy need to pay an extra 1000baht. You must have your passport, your flight itinery, travel insurance and copy of your bank ballance. If you have the documents it is a walk in the park,
