6 months bank statement, Is't a must?

Hi, my Filipino friend who is based in UAE invited me to go with him to China for a 4 days tour. I am going to be a first time applicant for Chinese Visa and upon checking on the requirements, I am worried that I might not be able to present a 6 months bank statement(with a minimum daily balance of 100,000).I am currently working here in the Philippines, I have all the other requirements available and even a bank statement with an amount less than the minimum required. I wonder if my friend who invited me and definitely sponsoring this trip can be of help? I can maybe ask him to make an invitation letter if that will be honored or is there something else I can do?

Looking forward to your response. Thanks!

The bank statement is not a must, but if you have, it is suggested to take. Otherwise, you may easily get rejected.

The embassy requires a statement to tell the reasons about why you cannot provide that document.

Personally speaking, you can bring your bank statement in your application paperworks, a statement to tell that your friend will sponor your trip and other related for your application.
