Applying for Visa to China using a Canadian Passport, while on vacation in Sri Lanka

Hello,

I am planning to attend the Enactus World Cup Conference in Beijing, China from October 22-25. All Canadians were waiting on personalized invitation letters from the CPAFFC. We have just been informed that we should now apply for visitors type instead.

I have reviewed the application process and have now realized that I need to be in canada to apply it. The problem is I am now in Sri Lanka and was planning on going to China in the middle of my trip. Due to the fact that we were waiting on personalized letters I did not apply while I was in Canada.

Since i have already purchased my plane ticket,, am I able to apply one using a Canadian Passport at the Sri Lankan Consolate? Please let me know

Aneil, L type requires an invitation letter. If you can't provide it, you should provide your round-trip air tickets and hotel booking in China. Those who apply in the third country should also provide their residence permit for employment or study or any other legal status there. I think you'd ask the embassy directly.
