About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Layover in China for 5hrs. en route to Manila

I am a Canadian citizen and my wife is a Trinidadian. She is a Landed Immigrant in Canada. We are travelling from Toronto to Manila. The China Eastern Airline stops in Shanghai en route to Manila for 5 hours. Do we need a Visa? Telephone # 416 450 6278, # 416 626 3860

Since you only stay 5 hours in Shanghai, you do not need to apply it.
If you just stay in the airport, nothing is required. If you want to leave the airport, you just need to apply for a stay permit in the airport to leave.
