Air quality in Beijing and other cities

Would you please tell me whether the air quality in BJ,Shanghai,Xian and the Yangtze River cruise are is better in September than June and July. My wife is asthmatic so could you please tell me if the air quality would be dangerous for her. Thank you.

Yes, generally speaking, the air quality in Sep. is better than June and July. If the air goes bad occasionally, it may cause some discomfort. I hope she will be fine.
